Doug DeMuro still hasn't reviewed a Hyundai Genesis Coupe yet, so I tied him up in my basement and forced him to review mine. I know he always tries to review the best version of each car, which mine is, as Doug so kindly mentions in the video. Sub count at time of upload: 493
I wish more videos showed the risk of blowing a 3.8L Genesis Coupe BK2 even with a low mileage vehicle. I added a turbo from turbokits.com and blew the motor in less than 1,500 miles. I learned the hard way that the pistons and connecting rods in these motors are notoriously weak. The good news is there is a solution. If you are going to add a turbo to a 3.8L, you should consider putting in a built motor and selling you stock motor.
